The game “Hamster Combat” and the dream of becoming rich / Mehdi Anbari

After the successful launch and popularity of “Notcoin”, many games in the style of “Tap to Earn” have been inspired and launched. One of the popular games in this style in recent days is “Hamster Kombat”. With the assumption that there is no defeat in this game, along with the successful experience of Notcoin and the hope of earning dollars, it has been written about psychologically in a few lines.

Taking into account the above assumptions, psychological and personal damages can be associated with this money-making adventure. Those who enter this game are likely individuals who have had similar experiences or at least are familiar with digital games, meaning they have a tendency towards addiction. However, now an external reinforcing factor, which is the game itself and its motivation, and an internal motivation, which is becoming wealthy, can make things more complicated. Addictive behavior towards the game already existed and now these two reinforcing and motivating factors will play an important role in promoting the game and its players. It should not be overlooked that some have joined this lucrative caravan with a significant delay, and of course, they are in a hurry to become wealthy. Among them, there are many who have divided their time on Telegram into two eras, “before filtering” and “after Hamster Combat.” Naturally, the market for selling virtual items has also become hotter and has put pressure on the number of enthusiasts to make a living and become

Now imagine individuals who are lying on their stomachs and are pressing on a money-making machine and by chance, they are making money and becoming rich. Where should society place these newly rich friends in their hearts? They themselves will probably be confused and bewildered. Will these individuals, their close ones, their branches, and society be able to adapt to this volume and type of wealth acquisition? Keep in mind that these events occur in societies where the normal curve is strangely changing; societies where both ends of the curve become richer and more bipolar every day, and the larger portion under the curve of bells becomes smaller and smaller, unfortunately causing more people to fall into the pit of misery and poverty.

The fundamental question here is whether we should delve into the reasons and roots of such an event and analyze them, or should we, like in the early days of facing the coronavirus, resort to all kinds of quick, comforting, and irrational reactions?

With a direct approach, perhaps the most reckless recommendation of optimistic individuals is to say: It’s not time-consuming, it’s simple, you just need Telegram and a VPN, you won’t lose anything, and in short, it’s a free lunch. But with an analytical approach, if this type of confrontation and view of others and society as a whole is extended and expanded, what results will it bring? This normalization and promotion of such income-generating models in recent years has been promoted through other platforms and messengers. Many people have gathered followers and received millions of dollars in advertising fees on their channels and have become wealthy. Why can’t others do it? If some have been able to, then others can too. Therefore, the market for content supply courses, influencer administration, and internships has also become common. In short, everyone is looking for influence, freelancing, etc., and apparently the traditional business market has declined. In fact, the wave of new ways of making

In the game of Hamster, people can only earn money by pressing their mobile screens. The desire for an easy job and unlimited income is the dream of every young person, and it makes them wary of accepting traditional and perhaps conventional job offers, to the point that traditional methods of earning income and working in employee and labor spaces, such as carrying and hauling, are considered boring and burdensome. Therefore, these young people are more attracted to such online games in order to achieve their dreams as soon as possible. Other models, such as lotteries or gambling, have also flourished on this basis and are attracting elite individuals under various titles and names in the fields of laziness, indulgence, and fantasy.

Therefore, making money and income deviates from a path that has no personal, social, and economic basis and logic, and its profitability in the best case, that is, making profit, leads to the formation of this unhealthy and baseless pattern for making income and it seems that it will soon turn into a lifestyle. If the lifestyle is not correct and principled, the person will suffer from many physical, mental, and psychological problems. The dream of making a lot of income through online games creates a strong addiction among its users, and this feeling is so strong among young people that they do not give up until they reach success and spend all their time on it. These individuals gradually become lazy, lethargic, and unproductive. It can be said that their brain system only releases dopamine and rewards them when the way of doing business and making income is very easy and painless. This is how an addictive behavior turns into a lifestyle and can be very harmful in the future.

Of course, in the midst of all this, we must give credit to many who have to choose easy ways to earn income. To those whose rights have been violated, to those who have no party, to those whose businesses have failed, to those whose stability has been broken, to those whose earnings have been filtered, to those who have lost hope, and to all those who are witnesses and listeners to all kinds of theft and embezzlement every day, we must give credit. When today’s youth and young people are abundantly witnessing the enrichment and embezzlement of a minority that was not wealthy until yesterday, why shouldn’t they (the new generation) who are smarter and more knowledgeable in popular literature become wealthy?! Unless society as a whole and various institutions such as schools, universities, national media, etc. provide our children with the content that we expect them to work, strive, and earn a halal living from…

A teenager who prefers to be alone and stay in their room, in one of the best possible scenarios, plays with a hamster and puts coins on top of each other, and every night feels sorry for their father who is busy with work from the rooster’s crow to the dog’s bark. The isolation and paradox that hides behind the mask of business, and God knows what consequences will come when this curtain is lifted. How will a teenager who, upon entering society, has been consumed by experiences, acquiring skills, and establishing positive relationships with family, peers, and the environment by constantly scrolling through their mobile screen, be able to solve the puzzle of their life?

Preliminary investigations by some psychologists show that those who play hamster games have very little physical activity. In this game, individuals who collect more coins may earn more money. Therefore, a sense of competition is created among players. In order to not fall behind, they try harder and spend less time with friends and family. These individuals are highly susceptible to depression and there is a high chance of them becoming isolated in the future. Earning income through easy means that do not require thinking, reasoning, or physical activity leads to people becoming lazy. Adolescents and young adults who are accustomed to playing and earning through it will face many difficulties in entering the job market in the future. If these individuals face some challenges in the job market, they quickly leave and look for an easier job. Ultimately, becoming too attached to online games like hamster can lead to disappointment, as if their dreams do not come true, it is considered a major failure for them.

The dream of becoming rich overnight – just by tapping on a mobile screen – is such that it completely distances our youth from the reality of life. Although the chance of achieving money and wealth through such paths is not zero, the danger is that a mere pastime or distraction can turn into a career and the main purpose of life.

Unfortunately, the conditions are such that many young people and even adults do not see a glimmer of hope and evaluate their efforts in the face of inflation, devaluation of currency, and loss of purchasing power as fruitless. When a person cannot achieve their desires in the real world, they turn to their dreams and mental fantasies. Sadly, these days, as we are only one year away from the year 1404, instead of a thriving market, business, effort, hope, progress, and foresight, there is a market of selling illusions and daydreams caused by despair, failure, high prices, embezzlement, and so on, which has become prevalent among young people and even adults.
