“Nardehbani, the overturned guardian of Iran’s education and training / Nader Pourkhani”
What glory comes after forty-three years of pain.
Why not sit in the glorious garden, “Bagh Goli”?
Before and after the revolution, our teachers never imagined that one day the country would reach a point where its most important ministry of education and training would be offered to Baghali. A country that has taken a breath after centuries with the support of great figures such as Ferdowsi, Nezami, Molavi, Saadi, and Hafez. A country that has nurtured great scientists like Razi, Biruni, Khayyam, Khwarizmi, and Avicenna in its heart. Especially in the modern era, with the opening of the first modern schools such as Darolfonoon and the schools that followed, it has introduced such great scientists and literati to the world that it is impossible for me and this page to mention all of them in abundance and abundance.
Undoubtedly, a great part of our revolutionary aspirations – teachers and students of the 1950s and before – were filled with eagerness for more justice and freedom in our hearts and minds (although today, all of them, with shame from head to toe, speak with regret about those great aspirations that were once filled with eagerness).
Alas, that today the teachers and the Ministry of Education have reached a point where their proposed minister is someone who was born in 1357. Indeed, Baghali, with no positive qualities, compared to the first Minister of Education who was the first cabinet minister in the year of his birth, Engineer Bazarqan. Dr. Shokouhi was the greatest figure of education in his time; even until today. Why? Because in these forty-three years after the revolution, an enlightened individual in education like Gholamhossein Shokouhi has not yet emerged as a figure!
Short speech; If a garden flower becomes the Minister of Education and Training, I would say the same thing as my dear friend: Iranian families from now on are better off sending their children to seminaries with a garden flower as the minister. Because with the dominance of this ruling view, which has been seeking such an opportunity since the beginning of the revolution – from now on, the type of education in these two, namely the official education and training institution and the seminaries, should not be different. In other words, from now on, there will never be a difference between garden flowers and Maryam Mirzakhani in this education and training, in terms of the emergence and greatness of knowledge.
What is now impossible and poetic to say: If only in this darkest crisis of the era, the forty-three-year rule and domination of the country, with its grave consequences in all aspects of life, had entrusted the only institution of education and upbringing of the country to its teachers and other educators, it would have saved itself and the country…
Oh! What a strange time it is, my dear!
