Rights and Ethics in the Time of Corona / Mohammad Mohabi

The late Dr. Amir Naser Katouzian, one of the great professors of law in Iran, wrote an article entitled “The Law of Historical Ethics” towards the end of his life. In this article, he argues that the rules and foundations of law, which later become the basis for the formulation and approval of laws, actually originate from the customary ethics, human conscience, and justice. In the world of law, the principle is “wisdom of the legislator.” This means that the legislator must necessarily be wise and adorned with moral virtues. Because for a large group of people, he establishes laws or produces philosophical foundations for the formulation of laws.
