AIDS is a disease or political security issue in Iran; an interview with Dr. Kamyar Alaei/Interview with Delbar Tavakoli.

In the United Nations Development Program, prevention of the spread of AIDS has been introduced as a challenge against development. The ability to control and deal with this disease in any society will be an important indicator for evaluating the development process of that society. This indicator alone can reflect significant aspects of sustainable development, including economic, social, political, and cultural development. Now the question arises, what is the situation in our country, Iran, in this regard?

In the past summer, the village of “Chenar Mahmoudi” in Lorestan was at the top of domestic news. A village that even non-native people had rarely heard of. The news of the spread of AIDS in this small village led to conflicting stories being published.
