More than a year has passed since the tragic incident of the Ukrainian passenger plane being targeted by the air defense of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the loss of 176 innocent lives. However, the families of the victims have not yet received justice and the wounds inflicted on the public conscience have not been healed. This tragedy, if it had happened in a country with minimum democratic and humane standards, would have led to the dismissal, impeachment, resignation, apology, and trial of many government and military officials. Regardless of the right of the families of the victims to seek justice, the issue of public order and security must also be addressed and justice must be served. In fact, this bitter incident has hurt and disturbed the people, and has damaged the security and reputation of Iran domestically and internationally (which itself has negative material and spiritual consequences). Therefore, the trial of those responsible in a fair, independent, public, and impartial court is the right of the families of the victims and the people of Iran,
