Structural critique of bar associations and the monitoring plan for lawyers/Mostafa Ahmadian


Understanding the current situation of the position of lawyers in the court of justice or the associations of lawyers in the vast machinery of the country’s judicial system can be achieved through studying its history and examining the past. From the time of the approval of the Law on the Quality of Obtaining a Lawyer’s License in 1997 and the establishment of the competence of the judiciary in relation to the misconduct of lawyers to the current state of Article 187 of the Third Development Plan Law and the beginning of the official bill on lawyers, the independence of the institution of lawyers has always been in serious danger and has caused damage to the independence of the associations, leading us away from our inherent duties and turning the associations into servants and subordinates, rather than promoting their development.
What we have witnessed over the years is the glorification of judicial symbols and slogans without any criticism of power and the issuance of unjust judgments in courts without any support from the oppressed people by the associations of lawyers, who have only helped to maintain
