A General Look at the Wastewater Problem in Kermanshah Province
In the spring of 1343, a flood occurred in the river known as “Abshooran” in the city of Kermanshah, causing extensive damage to the homes along the river. The residence of the late Ali Ashraf Darvishian, a renowned writer of our country who was a teenager at the time, was also affected by this flood, which later became the subject of his book “Abshooran Stories”.
Following this flood, in the same years, the plan to control and organize this river was put on the agenda of the municipality and water and wastewater affairs. However, not only has this plan not been successful after more than half a century, but you will not find a single river in Kermanshah province that is free from remaining wastewater.
Abshooran has turned into a major problem over the years and has become a stinking cesspool
