Balochistan and Herat in Three Perspectives/ Habibullah Sarbazi
First glance: The Baloch people are deprived of having a television and radio that can express their problems. The media of the Islamic Republic has boycotted Balochistan and what is broadcasted on radio and television about the Baloch people is superficial, promotional, and ceremonial. In general, the programs of radio and television in the field of violations of the rights of the Baloch people are contrary to the existing reality and in the true sense of the word, an example of “blackening” and “lies”. On the other hand, the lack of independent domestic websites, newspapers, magazines, weeklies, and even occasional newsletters that can freely express the provincial realities, which are always known as the “most deprived” and “most secure” province in Iran, has further exacerbated the problem and the weakness of civil society has greatly increased this problem and has blinded the sparks of hope of the people who carry a long list of deprivations and pressures behind their name.

Second Look: Baloch Activists’ Campaign has tried to take an effective step in breaking the silence of Balochistan’s media by providing accurate and timely information about the violations of Baloch people’s rights during their three years of activity. In this regard, and considering the deliberate hostility of domestic media, we have made great efforts to attract the attention of independent media, television channels, and foreign media towards this region. However, contrary to our expectations, the attention has been very limited and we have once again experienced some form of “hostility”. Major media outlets have repeatedly rejected important news about legal issues in Balochistan, which also met the criteria of professional news, using various excuses, and we have not seen any desirable cooperation or support in this regard.

Third look: I can confidently say that the “Iranian Human Rights Activists” and specifically the news website “Herana” have been a beacon of hope for the people of Balochistan during this time. If I and my friends and colleagues were not familiar with the Baloch activists campaign and the Iranian Human Rights Activists, I could have said with certainty that human rights activities in Iran have also become partisan and band-playing; although independent activists, associations, and human rights defenders also have very good and lasting activities, but none of them have accompanied the Baloch people in any of the periods (at least in the three years that the Baloch activists campaign has entered the field of activity) like “Herana” and have not been more successful in breaking the lock of centralization and media silence. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude as the director of the Baloch activists campaign and on behalf of those Baloch people who are among our followers. With
