A Hymn for Unity – A Poem by Aslan Aslanian
We have given many curses
We have become accustomed to darkness
But no wise and sober person has been found
To curse the darkness
In the darkness
And light a candle flame.
We are determined to light a candle
In the darkness
Whoever has feet to walk
Come with us.
Whoever has strong feet
Whoever has an easy pain
Whoever has delicate feet
Don’t come with us
A man wants this great path
To not recognize his head from his feet in love
Everyone who has a big heart knows
That there is a shining morning
In the night of Yalda
Everyone who has an enlightened eye knows
That there is light in the darkness
Chavoshi sings behind thousands of arms
He is the messenger of the generous sun
He calls you
He calls me
With you and me, we will break
The cage of darkness in our chests with the sword of victory
So that we can say before it
