Military service and the suffering of thousands in Iranian families!/Kiumars Amiri

For years, military service in the Islamic Republic of Iran has become a great burden and problem for families. Every Iranian male must feel the heavy shadow of military service on his life and family when he reaches the age of 18. This burden stays with him for many years and affects all aspects of his life and his family’s life. This problem has caused much suffering and hardship for many families and has even led to the disruption of many lives.

This is because those born between 1354 and 1380 (1975-2001), who are now 45 years old and mostly have families, are required to serve in the military according to the laws of the Islamic Republic. They must either go to the military or buy their way out when the government announces the option, which is not affordable for most people in society. This is a society where economic disparities and class differences are at an all-time high.
