Professor Behnaz Mirzaei, a professor at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, is one of the few researchers who has worked on slavery in late Iran and has left valuable works in this field. Her research focuses on African-Iranians and she has written the book “The History of Slavery and the Freedom of Slaves in Iran” in English, which has been translated into Persian by Bahman Dokht Oveisi and Morteza Kazemi Yazdi.
The book is divided into eight chapters and covers the period from 1800 to 1929 AD.
