In the past, those days when we were still twenty years old and had a strange sense of poetry, “Dehdasht” was young and still had the scent of life. I and “Ali Hosseini” were good friends, always together, and still spent the late nights of the weekends together, reciting our shared poems; nights and poems that became known as our “Cheriki” nights and poems. After many years, we wrote poetry together again with Ali.<\/p>\n
I have written about your arrival;<\/p>\n
With my friends<\/p>\n
Who are prisoners<\/p>\n
We come from the meeting of death<\/p>\n
From the meeting of the moon.<\/p>\n
From the path we returned<\/p>\n
The sun,<\/p>\n
Had a heavy red sunset<\/p>\n
In constantly burning<\/p>\n
From the candles of your name<\/p>\n
That with the wind<\/p>\n
Dancing in the sky in all directions.<\/p>\n
The interrogator says:<\/p>\n
We know everything<\/p>\n
And your white-haired wife<\/p>\n
Has skillful meaty hands;<\/p>\n
I look at her<\/p>\n
And I don’t cry<\/p>\n
Have you ever been calm like me<\/p>\n
And have you tasted<\/p>\n
The words of death<\/p>\n
In your mouth?<\/p>\n
Do this, my dear<\/p>\n
Before you say<\/p>\n
I am a death-obsessed and sad poet<\/p>\n
And I don’t have a healthy soul and mind,<\/p>\n
Do this, my dear.<\/p>\n
I allow you to<\/p>\n
Be in my place tonight<\/p>\n
And at the age of six, fall from a fig tree;<\/p>\n
